For new vehicles, they have to be within three years or 36,000 miles of their original in-service date. Certified pre-owned vehicles have to be within the certified pre-owned limited warranty and have less than 75,000 miles. Pre-owned vehicles have to be no more than 10 model years old and have less than 150,000 miles or vehicles that are within the five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty and have less than 125,000 miles.
Additional Benefits
Every Mopar Extended Warranty comes with additional benefits such as car rental allowance, trip interruption protection and roadside assistance and towing. These additional perks do expire when you reach 100,000 miles.
Warranty Costs
When you look for a Mopar extended warranty plan some things will affect how much you're paying.
Coverage - The more a warranty covers, the more expensive it will be.
Term - Warranties with a higher mileage or year limit are commonly more expensive.
Deductible - The lower deductible you choose, the higher your warranty price will be.
Vehicle - Your payment will differ based on the year, make, model and mileage of your vehicle.
Mopar Warranty Plans
There are a few different types of coverage that you can get with a Mopar Extended Warranty depending on how your vehicle qualifies.
Maximum Care
The Chrysler Maximum Care warranty is the most comprehensive extended coverage available for Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep. It extends your Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep’s powertrain and basic component coverage beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty and covers more than 5,000 components, providing virtually complete mechanical coverage for your vehicle. If you’re looking for a Chrysler extended warranty, Maximum Care is available with a variety of terms
Maximum Care is an exclusionary extended warranty, often referred to as a “Bumper-to-Bumper warranty”, if it’s not excluded it’s covered.
Added Care Plus
The Added Care Plus plan is for new cars and trucks, including those already covered by a 5/60 or longer powertrain warranty from the manufacturer. You have the option to add this coverage as long as you are still within 48 months of your vehicle’s in-service date and have accrued less than 48,000 miles.
An Added Care Plus warranty extends your vehicle’s powertrain and basic component coverage beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile Chrysler LLC warranty and covers more than 800 components.
Powertrain Care
Powertrain Care extends your Dodge, Chrysler, Ram or Jeep’s powertrain warranty beyond the 3-year/36,000-mile manufacturer’s coverage and covers more than 300 components.
The best thing about a Mopar Extended Warranty is the number of options you have to work with. Additionally, all plans have almost the same amount of coverage in terms of years and mileage. Going with a higher plan does give one more option to work with. But it’s still appreciable to see that no matter what, you can pick a plan that fits within your personal budget.
